Gay Christian Devotion
Psalm 131
(King James Version)
1Lord, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty: neither do I exercise myself in great matters, or in things too high for me.
2Surely I have behaved and quieted myself, as a child that is weaned of his mother: my soul is even as a weaned child.
3Let Israel hope in the LORD from henceforth and for ever.
Reflection
That nation of Israel came out of a dream - God's dream. God made a godly pipe dream come true, by making the many small dreams of people come true. God reached out through the small dreams He planted in people's hearts to make the nation of Israel a reality.
God has another dream. That dream may seem like a pipe dream to you. The dream is to see gay, bisexual, and trans people have safe places worship, to see GLBT people openly minister in His churches, to see queers take the gospel to the ends of the world. And many queer people have modest goals, goals such as being able to serve the Lord as an usher, a Sunday School teacher, a deacon, an elder, a music minister, or a pastor. The modest goals to win a friend to Christ, to plant a church in Jesus name. God is reaching out through those dreams He planted in your heart to create a gay nation of God!
