Proverbs 3:21-26

Proverbs 3:21-26 My son, let not them depart from thine eyes: keep sound wisdom and discretion: 22So shall they be life unto thy soul, and grace to thy neck. 23Then shalt thou walk in thy way safely, and thy foot shall not stumble. 24When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet. 25Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh. 26For the Lord shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken (KJV).

Reflection

Some people are afraid of going to sleep. While the dark is scary, they are not afraid of the dark. The rise in crime at night is not really the concern. They are very afraid that if they die during the night they will not enter the heavenly.

Those who understand God’s love and grace are very wise. They are able to sleep with confidence, because they know God is ever ready to welcome them into the heavenly paradise. You can have the peace to sleep soundly during the night. God has given many gay, lesbian, bisexual, trans-identified, queer, and questioning people the wisdom of the assurance of God’s love and salvation. As a queer Christian, you can sleep through the night with the calm confidence the assurance of God’s love and salvation brings you.
