Proverbs 3:19-20

Proverbs 3:19-20 The Lord by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath he established the heavens. ²⁰By his knowledge the depths are broken up, and the clouds drop down the dew (KJV).

Reflection

God’s knowledge and wisdom are shown in creation. The beauty of the mountains, the intricate and delicate ecosystem, and the beauty of the human form show God’s wisdom and knowledge. Humans are not the only part of God’s creation where we see same-gender relationships. Same-gender sexual relationships have been observed in hundreds of animal species. There is a reason for queer people. Acting from supreme wisdom, God created you queer, created you gay, created you lesbian, created you bisexual. As a human, you have limited understanding and wisdom. Your wisdom and understanding is not superior to God’s intelligence. Stop trying to second-guess God by insisting that you become straight or that others become straight, or that queer people should be straight acting.
