Proverbs 17:1

Proverbs 17:1 Better is a dry morsel, and quietness therewith, than an house full of sacrifices with strife (KJV).

Reflection

Probably nobody knows how true this proverb is than the many gay, lesbian, bisexual, and trans-identified youth who had to live with verbal abuse, family violence, were thrown out of their own homes, or were disowned by their families. Some people believe the rate of family abuse and violence is higher in families where there are queer young people.
