Proverbs 16:24 Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones (KJV).
Reflection
Words are powerful. Harsh, insulting words have the power to break the human spirit, while kind, generous words inspire and encourage.
This proverb challenges us to practice a random act of kindness, to compliment somebody who has done a good job, to build up somebody who could use some encouragement. Today, look for an excuse to speak kind, pleasant words, because those words can bring healing to a person’s soul.
