Proverbs 15:8-10
Proverbs 15:8-10 The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD: but the prayer of the upright is his delight. 9The way of the wicked is an abomination unto the LORD: but he loveth him that followeth after righteousness. 10Correction is grievous unto him that forsaketh the way: and he that hateth reproof shall die (KJV). Religious acts are not a substitute for a good, kind heart. Those who attend church every week, hold senior positions in church, and donate large sums of money to the church and to charities do not impress God as much as those who are just plain good, caring, kind people. God does not like the prayers of those who are offering public sacrifices, while being wicked. In fact, those prayers make God feel a little sick. Perhaps, you feel God cannot love you, because you are gay, lesbian, bisexual, or trans-identified. There is good news. The prayers of a good queer person make God very happy. In fact, God loves hearing from you!
