Parents tend to live through their children's lives. In some cases, parents want to see their children do the things they were not able to do, have the life style they were not able to have, be more successful than they were. So when children shows by the way they live their lives that they are wise, their parents are very happy.

Unfortunately, some parents expect things of their queer children that their queer children cannot do. They may want their queer children to be straight. That will not happen. As a result of the unrealistic expectations, some parents reject their queer children. Gay, lesbian, bisexual, and trans-identified people who have been rejected by their parents can live in a way that will make their Heavenly Parents very proud of them. God is very impressed and is very proud of you when you use the wisdom God gave you.
